British Values at St Hild’s

At St Hild’s British Values are an integral part of school life. Our school values embody diversity, inclusivity, and community, nurturing a society free from discrimination and hate. These values not only break down stereotypes but also foster strong relationships within our community. By promoting British Values, we help pupils develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to thrive in British society. This includes understanding the principles of democracy, the legal system, and social norms, as well as respecting the rights and beliefs of others. Through dedicated lessons, assemblies, form-time discussions, and enrichment opportunities we contribute to the holistic development of pupils, equipping them with the skills, values, and attitudes needed to become active, responsible, and engaged members of society. The curriculum is designed to be engaging and relevant, providing pupils with real-world applications of British Values through interactive learning, debates, and case studies. External speakers and partnerships with organisations further enhance pupils’ understanding.
